Futbol or as many others call it “soccer” was my first true love. I read books, attended professional games, watched it on television, spent several days a week on a field and even snuck friends into the house just so they could bring over the latest FIFA game. At a very early age, I knew that I would only become great by putting in time, studying the game, and giving it my best effort each time I stepped on the field. However, I didn’t come to this realization by myself. My father (also my first ever coach)  took the game very seriously. When I stepped foot on the field I was no longer his daughter, I was one of his star players who he expected greatness from, and wouldn’t accept anything less.

While I was a great futbol player, I didn’t have all of the skills, techniques, or understanding of what it would take to bring me to my greatest potential, but my coaches did. Throughout the years, and with the assistance of many great coaches I began to show tremendous growth. I made every team I tried out for, had recruitment offers and even a few scholarship offers to attend college.

As a result of my willingness to put in effort and time and the support of many great coaches, I became one of the best futbol players in my area. Not only did my coaches believe in me and prepare me for every match that would later have to face, but they provided me with the skills and techniques needed for me to be successful and reach my greatest potential.
